A brief word about us: The Fink School of Traditional Art began as the Randallstown School of Art in 1965 by Paula Fink, and has taught thousands of students in Northwest Baltimore the techniques and joys of drawing and painting. Current Director Alan Fink has been painting professionally and teaching for over 40 years. In 1990, the school moved to Reisterstown, where it continues to provide formal art instruction as well as fun and relaxation for all who attend. Our mission is to provide the best in classical fine art instruction to both beginners and non-beginners from ages 8 to adult. Students work at their own pace and comfort level, beginning with basic charcoal drawing and progressing into pastels and oils- the emphasis being on fundamentals as opposed to any particular style. Our adult classes have been described by our students as the "most relaxed, stress-free 2 hours of the week," especially in these unusual times.
